it's almost two and i'm up working on an art project that was due last thursday. on the bright side, i actually have a design, i just have to put it on paper. and by that i mean it's all digital, but i actually have to paint it. i'm terrified. i am not a painter. i can't do shit with my hands.
in other news, my trip to new york saturday was the best trip ever.
i thought we'd have no free time, that we'd be dragged along as a group from when we got off the bus until we got on the bus and if i saw my mother it'd be brief in passing so she could hand me some stuff.
no. we were released upon the city, allowed to basically do whatever, as long as we also did what we were supposed to.
so i met up with my mother, we went to a few galleries, and she treated me to a nice lunch (technically brunch) at a restaurant she's wanted to go to - she's seen celebrities and socialites there on several occasions.
i got a potential future job offer (if i pursue it and am good enough) from an artist selling his studio's work on the street.
my mother gave me the stuff she'd bought me, and then i bought some more. i bought cool gloves at urban outfitters and two pairs of earrings (because i have to start finding my style in that area), and one pair was sold to me for $2.50 when i thought it was going to be $16. bonus: i like both pairs i bought.
best part of all, i got to see EB and play with his ferret. i could only spend about an hour with him and he spent the whole time eating, but it was still super nice. i miss him and his ferret already.
and there were pretty much zero problems when we were together. everything was fun and fine and normal.
...except that he almost didn't kiss me. not even goodbye. at the last minute i decided to go for it anyway, afraid that if i left it on that note i'd spend the next few weeks worrying about whether he still wanted me in that way, or whether he had any feelings for me left at all.
there's still that little part of me that wonders why he wasn't going to, but it's mostly soothed by the fact that when i kissed him, he went in for another one.
and the entire time i was at his apartment i couldn't believe i was really on a school trip!
sadly, it's crunch time here again. i register for classes tomorrow, and i finally looked at the catalog and met with my advisor today, and i'm pretty much good to go.... except that i can't decide if i should take calc or sociology.
i don't really know what sociology is, but there are some really fascinating-sounding 3000-level courses for which intro to sociology is a prerequisite.
ah fuck, behavioral neuroscience filled up.
i had more to say but now i'm tired and bummed.
my art design looks super shitty.
awww, your trip to nyc sounds so cool! :) i'm glad you had a good time. good luck with your art work, xo.
