born this way (fuck yeah large mouths)

yes, i just watched the glee episode named for the lady gaga song of the same name.

i'm a glee fan, though maybe not a gleek. i'm bad at watching shows as they air (except british skins, but maybe that's because the seasons are so short). i start out like "HELL YEAH [insert day] AT [insert time] TIME FOR [insert show]!" and then i just.... fall off the wagon. and then i stay off the wagon in case i missed anything on the wagon and i don't want to ruin the wagon ride when i get back on.

maybe i went on about that too much.

anyway.

they all wore white shirts with the word or phrase representing what they are most insecure about.

santana goes on about how we all have things we don't like about us, and we should change them. she calls out several people, including sam for his large mouth.
then at the end of the episode he shows up with a shirt that says TROUTY MOUTH.

i've noticed this about my taste in guys - i am attracted to large mouths. i don't know why. it's just a common trait i've noticed in men i drool over (not all of them, of course, but many). my first boyfriend had an inhumanly large mouth. so much so that when he opened it all the way i had to look away because it freaked me out.
(i also think it's funny, because i think i have a very small mouth.)

it's like
how to have AZ drool over you:
- be tall (6'2" is good)
- be skinny
- be pale
- have a large mouth.
pretty much a fail-proof recipe. actually, the large mouth sometimes overrides everything else.
i usually just think of my taste as tall-pale-skinny, but sometimes i'll see someone and be like oooh me likey, and then i'm like, wait, they're not really any of the above... and then i realize. bam. large mouth. no hope for me.

anyway, my odd taste aside,
i feel like i could turn this into a lesson about loving every part of you because what you hate might be what someone else loves about you...
but that'd just be way too cheesy and preachy for this blog.
and i'd be the world's biggest hypocrite.

instead i'm wondering what i'd put on my shirt.
seeing a girl wearing a size 'small' t-shirt emblazoned with the word "FAT" might make some people scratch their heads...
i'm very insecure about my short legs, but nobody can make me love them. and it's not going to be what someone else loves about me because who likes short legs. mutter mutter.

....

p.s. i just found this looking for pictures of matthew gray gubler and i lol'd.
